Poltergeist

An original slide used in the production of Poltergeist, the 1982 supernatural horror produced by Steven Spielberg.

This VistaVision slide was utilised at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) during the composition of the Academy Award nominated visual effects sequences. The VistaVision frame is mounted in a card surround featuring a printed Lucasfilm copyright and shows Carol Anne Freeling (Heather O'Rourke) in front of the television set before a ghostly hand emerges from the screen. The card surround is hand inscribed with the storyboard number 'TV5' with other markings and embossed with the date DEC 81.

The slide measures 2" x 2" and remains in very good production used condition with some minor staining and colour shift.

A rare and interesting example of original visual effects material from this classic of the horror genre.
