The Prop Gallery was founded in 2011 and is a full time operation dedicated to the location, acquisition and preservation of artefacts used in the production of film and television, principally those of a vintage nature. We also present the collector with the opportunity to own pieces used in the production of their favourite show.
Driven by the search for artefacts of the highest quality, rarity and provenance The Prop Gallery are pleased to offer these difficult to source pieces to clients, from those adding to an already established collection to those looking to make that first acquisition we can help. With the growth in the market over the last decade investors and collectors alike are striving to add pieces to their collections which mean that little bit more, like fine art, these artefacts are one of those rare things in life which can generate that emotional and personal response, therefore enriching the lives of those who possess them.

Jamie Smyth - Managing Director
Jamie began pursuing items back in 1989 at the tender age of 13 by writing to the producer of the television show Doctor Who, in return he was sent a small prop as a gift, this was back at the very start of the hobby of collecting artefacts relating to the production film and television, very few auctions sold pieces the only way to acquire these rare props was through meeting with people and writing to industry professionals. Throughout the 1990’s Jamie built on his knowledge, attending auctions and working on exhibitions whilst liaising with various individuals from visual effects technicians to actors and directors in his pursuit to find and preserve these wonderful pieces of history. After 24 years as an avid collector Jamie co-founded The Prop Gallery and made it his chief aim to provide collectors with the opportunity to own items from their most beloved productions no matter how big or small.
