Visitor brochure
An original brochure used in the production of the 1993 science fiction adventure picture Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg.
Visitor brochures such as this can be seen in various shots in the movie, notably used by Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and in the scenes where the Tyrannosaurus Rex attacks the group. Custom printed by the production the full colour brochure features the iconic Jurassic Park logo to the cover with various information and graphics to the interior, the brochure can be fully opened to a map of the island which shows the location of the visitor centre, roads and various dinosaurs at the attraction. To the verso of the brochure is an advertisement for Kodak Gold Plus film.
This brochure exhibits traces of mud and water staining from use during the production when a number of these can be seen on the ground following the dinosaur attack, the brochure was retained and dried out by a Stan Winston Studios crew member who worked on the sequence and remains in good condition with the wear you would expect and some tearing to the fold lines. A fine example of a genuine prop which clearly saw use during the production of this highly regarded picture.
The brochure measures approximately 8.25" x 3.75" when closed and approximately 14.75" x 16.5" when fully opened to the map of the island.
A vibrant and instantly recognisable display piece that requires no introduction from an Academy Award winning box office smash which on its release became the highest grossing picture of all time.
