Fireball XL5

An original publicity still from the production of Fireball XL5, the 1960s science fiction television series created by Gerry Anderson.

This high quality vintage black and white publicity still is printed on thick matte photographic stock and shows noted special effects director Derek Meddings flying one of the Fireball XL5 miniatures during filming. The still is stamped to the verso 'MIRRORPIC' in red ink with the Fleet Street address of the Daily Mirror below and is additionally hand inscribed with a number in pencil.

The still remains in good vintage and trimmed condition measuring 9.75" x 6.75", some corner and surface wear is present.

An extremely rare example of original material from this classic Anderson production.
