Prisoner (The) 1967

An original still from the production of The Prisoner, the 1967 British television series starring Partick McGoohan.

This vintage original black and white still is printed on Kodak photographic paper and features Patrick McGoohan as Number Six and Eric Portman as Number Two. To the verso a paper snipe features the CBS Television logo with printed transmission information, further date stamp present 'JUL 5 1968' and type written to bottom corner 'MC GOOHAN, PARTICK IN THE PRISONER. The still has been painted on to the front picking out McGoohan's head which would have been the only part of the photograph ultimately used by the press outlet, hand inscribed pen lines also present to the border.

The still measures 9" x 7" and remains in very good condition with aforementioned paint due to genuine press use which is seldom seen.

A rare example of original material from this highly regarded cult television series.
