Production used storyboard binder
An original storyboard binder used in the production of The Thing, the 1982 horror classic directed by John Carpenter.
This production used storyboard binder contains approximately 350 printed storyboards which cover the major action sequences of the movie including the opening and climactic scenes and various transformations such as Kennel-Thing, Norris-Thing, Palmer-Thing and Blair-Thing. These are split in to various sequences within the binder with some out of sequence, possibly a reflection of the filming order, some differences to the finished movie appear to be present. The storyboards are housed in a vintage original black binder which is stamped 'PROPERTY OF MCA' to the spine.
The binder and its contents remain in excellent vintage condition with light wear from use and handling, some storyboards exhibit minor edge wear and toning, minor tape repair to first page, overall fine.
A very rare and concise example of original production material from this cult classic of the horror genre.
