Tales of the Unexpected

An original costume design used in the production of Tales of the Unexpected, the 1980s British anthology series created by Roald Dahl.

From the episode Stranger in Town broadcast in 1982 this is the original costume design artwork for the wardrobe worn by guest star Derek Jacobi as The Stranger. Created by designer Cecelia Doidge and is accomplished in pencil and paint, it features three swatches of material used for the multicoloured coat and is hand inscribed to the top corner with the name of the series and hand signed by Doidge to the bottom right corner.

The costume design measures approximately 14" x 10" and remains in very good production used condition with some marks to the corners where it has been displayed, otherwise fine.
