Production used clapperboard
An original clapperboard used in the production of the 2002 horror picture The Ring starring Naomi Watts under the direction of Gore Verbinski.
This production used clapperboard is constructed from perspex with an affixed multicoloured wooden clap stick and bears the movie title etched to the centre in spooky red lettering. The board also features the name of director Gore Verbinski with camera credited to Bojan Bazelli in his capacity as director of photography. The board retains various hand inscribed writing in marker pen relating to roll, scene and take numbers and is complete with a date sticker from its last use on production, 3/21/02, indicating this clapperboard was used unitl the very end of principal photography. Further stickers indicate the shooting speed of 24 FPS (frames per second) with the red etched A to the top left indicating this was a principal board used for the main A camera.
The clapperboard measures approximately 11" x 9.5" and remains in excellent condition with only very minor surface marks from production use.
A displayable artefact and a fine example of the iconic clapperboard from the production of this critically acclaimed box office smash.
