Name of the Rose (The)

An original prop used in the production of The Name of the Rose, the 1986 medieval picture starring Sean Connery and Christian Slater.

This is one of a number of manuscripts custom made by the production, expertly crafted from leather covered wood the heavyweight book features a large quantity of blank pages to the interior of thick paper stock with the front page being hand inscribed 'THE NAME OF THE ROSE (CONNERY'S DESK)', the meaning of which is unclear.

The manuscript measures approximately 14" x 11" with a thickness of over 2", it remains in excellent production used and intentionally distressed condition.
