Day of the Jackal (The)

An original costume used in the production of The Day of the Jackal, the 1973 thriller starring Edward Fox in the title role under the direction of Fred Zinnemann.

These trousers were custom made for the production by noted theatrical tailors M. Berman LTD, later of Bermans and Nathans, for Edward Fox as The Jackal. The bespoke trousers are constructed from beige cotton and feature two labels to the interior waistband each type written 'EDWARD FOX, DAY OF THE JACKAL' with one of these additionally hand inscribed 'NO 1' in pen.

The wardrobe remains in excellent production used and vintage condition, very fine.

An exceptionally rare example of original material from this highly regarded picture.
