Cotton Club (The)

A collection of stills from the production of The Cotton Club, the 1984 drama starring Richard Gere under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola.

This collection of vintage photographs were taken by stills photographer Adger Cowans during the production to promote the release of the movie. The lot comprises of twenty-nine production stills, two full colour with the remainder black and white, featuring all the principal cast members and printed on glossy Kodak branded photographic stock. Each of the stills is hand inscribed to the verso with a number which corresponds to an accompanying photo identification list comprising of two pages on production headed paper which lists the actors and their respective roles. These are also accompanied by a eight page document featuring detailed information relating to the production which is dated 12/22/83, almost a full year before the eventual release of the movie.

The photographs each measure 10" x 8" and remain in excellent vintage condition with some edge toning, the documents similar, overall very fine.
