Superman

An original script used in the production of Superman, the 1978 superhero classic starring Christopher Reeve and Marlon Brando.

This shooting script comprises of over 130 pages in addition to a title page and is bound within front and rear covers of red card. The interior title page gives screenplay writing credit to Mario Puzo, David and Leslie Newman and Robert Benton with Tom Mankiewicz noted as a creative consultant, this script is dated 14th March, 1978 and was produced to incorporate all rewrites up this date. The script contains pages bearing the following dates from these various rewrites which took place throughout the production - 21/3/77, 25/3/77, 6/4/77, 12/4/77, 14/4/77, 16/4/77, 18/4/77, 5/5/77, 9/5/77, 10/5/77, 26/6/77, 19/7/77, 31/8/77, 22/9/77, 26/9/77, 7/2/78, 14/3/78 and further revisions added after the production of this script which are dated 28th May, 1978.

The script remains in generally excellent condition with some minor edge wear and toning consistent with age and use, overall very fine.

A fine example of original production material from this Academy Award winning picture which remains an influential classic of the superhero genre.
