Superman

An original mould used in the production of Superman, the 1978 superhero classic starring Christopher Reeve in the title role.

This mould was created by a member of by the talented visual effects team headed up by Derek Meddings as they experimented with miniatures in an effort to bring Superman to life. The silicone mould would produce one of the flying miniatures utilised by the production, it measures approximately 10" long and remains in excellent vintage condition.

A fine memento from this this Academy Award winning picture which remains an influential favourite of the superhero genre.
