Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

An original storyboard sequence used in the production of the 1983 science fiction picture Return of the Jedi, the third instalment of the original Star Wars trilogy directed by Richard Marquand.

These storyboards are production issued copies of the original artwork created by Industrial Light & Magic illustrator George Jenson. The sequence consists of six pages which depict the scenes from the establishing shots of the sail barge through to where Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) walks the plank and contain 21 illustrations with various notes relating to the shots including information about camera movement and effects.

The storyboards each measure approximately 8.5" x 11" and remain in excellent condition with only very minor edge wear having been carefully stored since the production, they originate from the collection of second assistant director Michael Steele.

A fine collection of storyboards from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
