Handwritten production note
An original note from the production of the 1980 science fiction picture The Empire Strikes Back, the second instalment of the classic Star Wars franchise directed by Irvin Kershner.
This note was sent to Academy Award winning visual effects artist Brian Johnson at Industrial Light & Magic by production secretary Patricia Blau and concerns the additions and deletions to the production bibles issued to senior crew members. The correspondence is hand inscribed in blue pen and is accomplished on headed note paper used during the production of the original Star Wars movie released in 1977.
The note measures 8.25" x 5.5" and remains in excellent vintage condition, very fine. Obtained directly from the personal collection of Brian Johnson having remained in his possession since he received it during the production of The Empire Strikes Back in 1978.
A rare and interesting production artefact from one of the most influential and highly regarded franchises in cinematic history.
