Moon

An original spacesuit concept used in the production of Moon the acclaimed science fiction drama directed by Duncan Jones and starring Sam Rockwell.

This concept design of Sam Bell's (Sam Rockwell) spacesuit was drawn by production designer Tony Noble. This production used copy was utilised at Shepperton Studios during the production of the spacesuit components which were created by the miniature effects team of Bill Pearson, firstly an initial helmet maquette was made by Bill referencing this design before the full size helmet and chest master patterns were sculpted by Chris Hayes and the screen used components were produced. The last two images show an identical copy pinned to the wall in Bill Pearson's workshop at Shepperton during the production.

The concept is A4 in size and remains in excellent production used condition with two small holes to the top left corner, very fine.

Presented here directly from the collection of Moon model unit supervisor Bill Pearson, The Prop Gallery COA supplied with the item will also be signed by Bill and accompanied by a high quality 7" x 5" photographic print of him with the item.
