Dark Crystal (The)

A piece of original Skeksis armour created for the production of The Dark Crystal, the 1982 fantasy classic directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz.

This is an original armour section created for use on Skeksis Garthim-Master skekUng who was designed by conceptual artist Brian Froud and puppeteered by veteran Muppet performer Dave Goelz. This armour is a production made casting of the section seen at the rear of skekUng's head throughout the movie, constructed from fine lightweight fibreglass with a grey paint finish the bone like piece remains otherwise unfinished having been surplus to requirements during the production.

The armour section measures approximately 21" long and remains in excellent production made vintage condition with only minor edge wear, overall fine.

A rare and displayable principal character artefact from this cult fantasy classic.
