UFO

An original filming miniature used on screen in the British science fiction television series UFO created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, produced by Century 21 productions it was the Anderson's first totally live action production and was aimed at an older demographic than their previous shows.

The live action filming was combined with model miniature effects work supervised by the legendary Derek Meddings who went on to produce effects for the James Bond film series and Superman. This SID 2 shuttle filming miniature was used on screen in 'The Man Who Came Back' and is constructed from wood and various kit parts and applied detailing with the design loosely based on a NASA lifting body.

The shuttle measures approximately 14" in length and is in excellent condition with some minor peeling to the detailing. Two of the rear thrusters has been replaced with identical kit parts but otherwise the model is in screen used condition. 

An incredibly rare filming miniature from this beloved series which to this day is still highly regarded for its special effects work.
