Space Precinct

An original prop used in the production of the 1994 science fiction television series Space Precinct created by Gerry Anderson.

From the episode The Forever Beetle first broadcast in July 1995 this is an original hand used in the scene where we see the results of the cell regeneration experiment conducted with Senna M who was born with a deformed hand. Constructed from solid rubber the hand features a green and blue paint finish to give the look of an alien creature with a number of spotted markings and false fingernails. It is attached to a wooden pole wrapped in black tape which would allow the piece to be positioned off camera. There were three hands created by the production and used to demonstrate the healing properties of the forever beetle, this is the hand used in the insert shot which show the results of the experiment after fifteen days and it can be screen matched to this scene by its unique markings.

The hand measures approximately 11" long with the handle measuring a further 8.5" making a total measurement of 19.5", it remains in excellent screen used condition with some minor paint loss in areas, overall very fine.
