Saving Private Ryan

An original helmet used in the production of Saving Private Ryan, the 1998 war epic directed by Steven Spielberg.

Helmets such as this can be seen worn by the 29th Infantry Division throughout the movie, supplied to the production by Academy Costumes the helmet is constructed from metal and features the insignia of the division to the front. The helmet is accompanied by a distressed scrim net measuring many holes and an original liner with both helmet parts stamped to the interior 'US ACAD' for Academy Costumes, the liner is additionally hand inscribed with the name 'ALLAN'.

The helmet  measures approximately 11" x 9.5" x 7" and remains in excellent production used condition exhibiting expected surface wear and lacking one side of the chin strap, otherwise fine.

A highly displayable artefact from this highly regarded modern day classic which was the recipient of five Academy Awards.
