Saigon Post newspaper featuring Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando)
An original prop created for the production of Apocalypse Now, the 1979 epic war picture directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
This Saigon Post newspaper is dated Monday January 08, 1968 and features various headlines relating to the conflict, custom made for the production the newspaper is printed on the traditional stock and features various other articles which are repeated throughout to total 16 pages. Although this newspaper does not appear on screen in its entirity a clipping of the section featuring Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) to the bottom is clearly seen in the files used by Captain Willard (Martin Sheen).
The newspaper measures approximately 20" x 15" and remains in excellent vintage folded condition exhibiting only minor wear, overall fine.
A rare example of original material from this highly regarded Academy Award winning epic.
