Apocalypse Now

An original prop created for the production of Apocalypse Now, the 1979 epic war picture directed by Francis Ford Coppola.

This Saigon Post newspaper is dated Tuesday January 02, 1968 and features a headline detailing an attack in the Mekong Delta in violation of the New Year's truce, custom made for the production the newspaper is printed on the traditional stock and features various other articles which are repeated throughout to total 16 pages. Although clippings from another Saigon Post newspaper do feature on screen this example is not seen in the final cut of the movie.

The newspaper measures approximately 20" x 15" and remains in good vintage folded condition exhibiting wear to the spine and age related toning.

A rare example of original material from this highly regarded Academy Award winning epic.
