Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 2006 Christmas special The Runaway Bride starring David Tennant as The Doctor this is an original Roboform helmet as seen throughout the episode as Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) reveals the Santa taxi driver to be one and later as they defend the Empress of the Racnoss (Sarah Parish). Constructed from fibreglass by series veteran effects house Millennium FX the helmet comprises of a largely featureless robotic skull like design with two large eyes of mesh lined plastic, finished in gold paint the helmet features a velcro chin strap which is hand inscribed 'KEN H' for actor Ken Hosking in marker pen.

The helmet measures approximately 12" x 8" x 7" and remains in very good condition exhibiting some paint and surface wear with a small crack to the top side of the right eye from use during the production.

A rare and highly displayable artefact from this cult science fiction series.
