Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

An original storyboard sequence used in the production of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the first instalment in the popular Indy franchise.

This storyboard is a production issued copy taken from the original rendering and details the memorable closing sequence where the crate containing the Ark of the Covenant is seen being stored in the warehouse, this shot combined live action footage filmed at Elstree Studios with a now iconic matte painting from the brush of Michael Pangrazio at Industrial Light & Magic. The sequence comprises of two staple bound pages which features a total of seven drawings detailing the sequence with notes below describing the action taking place, one referencing a painted matte. The first page is hand inscribed 'PAM' in blue pen for continuity editor Pamela Mann and these storyboards originate from her personal collection.

The storyboard measures approximately 14" x 10" and remains in good condition with fold lines to the centre and minor wear from use and handling.
