Production used script - Somewhere in a Crowd
An original script used in the production of Journey to the Unknown, the 1968 television series produced by Hammer Films.
This is an original script used during the production which was issued to assistant director Derek Whitehurst. The script is for the episode Somewhere in a Crowd and comprises of 65 pages bound within front and rear covers of red card with the cover featuring the title of the production in black lettering and the interior cover page hand inscribed with Whitehurst's name to the top right corner. The script features a large quantity of pink revision pages which are dated August 23, 1968 and is heavily annotated throughout with various inscriptions in Whitehurst's hand and the name of the episode inscribed to the spine in black pen.
The script is accompanied by a large collection of production paperwork comprising of a 19 page staple bound scene breakdown, script notes, cast list, memo on Hammer Film Productions headed paper, two loose script revision pages on yellow paper dated 11th July 1968 and 14 artist contract sheets for the principal cast members, each inscribed with the name Derek in pencil.
The script and accompanying production paperwork remains in excellent condition its use and age considered, there is some light edge wear throughout, most noticeably to the scene breakdown which exhibits toning to the edges and the final three pages pulled loose, overall fine.
An incredibly rare, interesting and concise collection which clearly saw heavy use during the production of this well regarded series.
