American Film Institute

The American Film Institute Life Achievement Award each years honours an individual for his or her lifetime contribution to enriching American culture through motion pictures and television beginning with director John Ford in 1973.

This original script for the AFI Life Achievement Award salute to Henry Fonda is dated February 25, 1978 and comprises of well over 100 pages bound between front and rear covers of cream card with the front featuring various production credits. To the interior the script features list of the distinguished speakers invited to salute Fonda in addition to a 15 page production schedule, a short rundown, slide list and staff list, various coloured revision pages are present throughout.

The script remains in good vintage condition with some cover soiling and minor mould damage to the rear cover and final pages.

A rare and interesting document for this coveted award.
