Terrahawks

An original script used in the production of Terrahawks, the 1980s British science fiction television series produced by Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson in conjunction with Christopher Burr.

This script was issued to and used by assistant director Derek Whitehurst during the production of the episode The Ugliest Monster of All. The script comprises of 35 pages to include some amendments on pink paper bound between front and rear covers of green card in addition to a cover page, cast and set lists. The cover page is signed by Derek Whitehurst with the outer cover hand inscribed 'DEREK' in black pen and the script is heavily annotated throughout in Whitehurst's hand with numerous highlights and notes inscribed in both pen and pencil. The script is accompanied by a wealth of production material as detailed below, some of which is hand written or annotated in Whitehurst's hand.

• 10 daily scene breakdowns totalling 33 pages, each bound by a staple to the top corner and dated between 17.6.83 and 30.6.83, some bearing hand inscribed annotations.
• 3 page shooting breakdown, hand written in pencil and bound by paper clip, dated 24/5/83.
• Hand written set list dated 24/5/83.
• SFX shooting schedule master, hand written in pencil, accompanied by printed version issued on 13/6/83.
• 2 main unit shooting schedules (duplicate) issued 10/6/83, one heavily annotated accompanied by further shooting schedule hand written in pencil.
• Memo from Gerry Anderson reminding crew to ensure they do not over order materials to minimise expenditure with Whitehurst's name underlined in red pen
• Final breakdown dated 13/6/83 containing information relating to set and prop requirements.
• 3 further script amendments.

The script and paperwork remains in generally excellent condition with some tearing to the interior of the cover, otherwise very fine with light edge wear.
