Production used concept design - The Great Gum Machine
An original concept design used in the production of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, the 1971 picture starring Gene Wilder under the direction of Mel Stuart.
This is an original production made photostat copy of the original rendering drawn by noted art director Harper Goff as he designed the various elements of the picture, signed by Goff with the date '70' beside the concept features the title 'THE GREAT GUM MACHINE'. The highly detailed illustration shows the huge machine and its various controls with figures of Wonka and the children to the bottom corner and differs significantly from the design seen on screen. The concept is hand inscribed with the number 12 in red pen and features small pin holes to the top corners from use in the production office.
The concept design measures an impressive 16" x 12" and remains in excellent production used condition, once rolled now stored flat, overall very fine.
An incredibly rare example of original production material from this highly regarded classic.
