Production made James head skin display
An original puppet head skin used in the production of James and the Giant Peach, the 1996 fantasy picture produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick who had previously collaborated on The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This is an original production made stop motion puppet head skin for the lead character of James portrayed and voiced by Paul Terry. This latex head skin was created during the production, ultimately surplus to requirements it remained unused and unpainted, it was subsequently mounted on a head form and hand painted by a professional artist to create this impressive display. The head is mounted on an imaginative hand painted peach base carved from wood with a copper wire stalk and also features a hand made collar and tie of material to complete the display.
The complete display stands approximately 5.5" high with the base measuring 4" wide, the head remains in excellent production made condition and is still supple to the touch.
An instantly recognisable and highly displayable artefact from this well received stop motion picture.
