Description

An original prop from the production of the 1979 James Bond picture Moonraker starring Roger Moore as suave secret agent.

This head was constructed by a member of the special effects team for use on a puppet of James Bond (Roger Moore), puppets were considered for use in various effects sequences and one can be briefly seen used in the climax of the cable car sequence and Bond and Holly Goodhead (Lois Chiles) make their escape. The small scale puppet head was first expertly sculpted in clay with this then moulded in hollow resin and features a highly detailed likeness of Moore with holes to the neck area allowing it to be mounted on a puppet body, ultimately surplus to requirements the head is unpainted.

The head measures approximately 1.75" and remains in very good production made condition with what appears to be a paint splatter to the face, otherwise fine.

A rare and displayable artefact from one of the most celebrated franchises in cinematic history.
