Space: 1999

This is a production used script for the series 2 episode The Dorcons.

This script sports the storys original working title - Return of the Dorcons, written by prolific writer and script editor Johnny Byrne, this is a final shooting script dated 19th October 1976, it turned out to be not so final as the name was simplified to just The Dorcons before transmission and indeed there are known examples of further revised versions with later dates.

Originally used at the Bray Studios SFX department the script and consists of 70 A4 type written pages in addition to the cast and set lists, the script is bound within a wraparound cover of cream card.

In addition it has been signed by and was obtained directly from academy award winning special effects expert Brian Johnson who was responsible for much of the groundbreaking model effects work on the series.

The script remains in excellent condition with some light soiling and wear from production use.
