Poltergeist

An original slide used in the production of Poltergeist, the 1982 supernatural horror produced by Steven Spielberg.

This VistaVision slide was utilised at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) during the composition of the Academy Award nominated visual effects sequences. The VistaVision frame is mounted in a card surround featuring a printed Lucasfilm copyright and depicts Diane Freeling (JoBeth Williams), the beast which appears opposite her on screen was filmed separately in the ILM water tank and composited with this live action frame. The frame is marked with frame lines top and bottom with the outer hand inscribed with the storyboard number 'HE-14 and embossed with the date DEC 81.

The slide measures 2" x 2" and remains in excellent production used condition, extremely fine.

A rare and interesting example of original visual effects material from this classic of the horror genre.
