Space: 1999

An original concept and SFX schedule used in the production of Space: 1999, the cult science fiction series produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

This is the original concept art for the Phoenix seen in the Year 1 episode Death's Other Dominion, the art is hand drawn by artist unknown, possibly Brian Johnson, and accomplished in various colour pens giving a vibrant concept for the craft which was realised in miniature by model making legend Martin Bower who built many of the original studio models used on the series. The art is accompanied by an eight page SFX shooting schedule dated 5th September 1974 which covers the various visual effects shots for the episode, it is hand inscribed to the top left corner '31 Shots' in pen.

Both the concept art and shooting schedule are A4 in size and remain in excellent production used condition with some light wear and creasing.
