Thomas and Friends

An original remote used in the production of the long running children's television show Thomas the Tank Engine which later became Thomas & Friends.

This is one of the original remote controls used during filming to operate Ned, the steam shovel who works for the Sodor Construction Company and debuted in series six. The MacGregor JR Propo branded remote features various controls with a display screen to the top and has various tapes applied, two printed 'NED' and one to each side which are hand inscribed 'NED ARM', others indicate the controls for the smoke and boom features.

The remote measures approximately 9" x 7.5" and remains in very good production used condition with expected surface wear, battery pack not included, overall fine.

An interesting production artefact from this popular children's television series.
