Last Samurai (The)

An original prop used in the production of The Last Samurai, the 2003 drama starring Tom Cruise and Ken Watanabe.

This is a stunt version of the wakizashi, the smaller companion sword to the main weapon of the samurai used by Tom Cruise as Nathan Algren. Fabricated for the production by noted effects house Weta Workshop the weapon features a leather wrapped handle with a plastic guard featuring a hand painted design specific to Cruise's character and an extremely dense solid rubber blade finished in metallic paint.

The weapon measures approximately 26" long and remains in excellent condition with some minor wear consistent with use during the production, overall fine.
