Space: 1999

An original costume used in the production of Space: 1999, the cult science fiction television series produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.

This female Moonbase alpha uniform consists of tunic and skirt of wool and spandex. The tunic is crew necked featuring zip fastener to the left arm, different personnel had different coloured left sleeves, this one being a yellow service tunic. This example remains in its Year 1 configuration, the majority of costumes were revamped for Year 2 with a collar alteration making them turtle necked and stitching lines in the section colour added. The tunic in inscribed to the seams with multiple names which are largely illegible.

The costume remains in excellent production used condition throughout with only minor moth holes which is a very common problem with these costumes.
