An original hairpiece used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1980 serial The Leisure Hive starring Tom Baker as The Doctor this is an original hairpiece as worn by Adrienne Corri as Mena. Visioned by noted BBC costume designer June Hudson and custom made for the production by the BBC Wardrobe Department the hair is dyed in the signature Argolin colour and intricately arranged over a material mesh around a wire frame designed to keep its shape. A label sewn in to the interior is hand inscribed 'ADRIENNE CORRI' in pen.

The piece stands approximately 9" high and remains in very good production used condition lacking the decoration to the top.

A wonderful example of intricately designed wardrobe from the Tom Baker era of the cult science fiction series.
