Following the success of the 2014 event The Prop Gallery returned to the MCM Comic Con held at the NEC Birmingham on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November 2015. On display at our corporate stand were numerous artefacts used in the creation of various movies, many of which had never been publicly exhibited, including original props, costumes and filming miniatures from favourites such as Batman, The Terminator, Alien, Superman and Back to the Future while representing television were Star Trek and Gerry Anderson's UFO.
With almost 40,000 visitors it was certainly a hectic weekend, we would like to thank everyone who stopped by and contributed to a memorable event!
Among the star attractions were an original cowl worn on screen by Michael Keaton and the long pistol used by Jack Nicholson as The Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 superhero blockbuster Batman.
From the Alien franchise was an original egg used in the production of James Cameron's Aliens and the original Nostromo landing leg miniature from Ridley Scott's Alien with one of the original leather motorcycle jackets worn on screen by Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator also proving a big hit.
Original armour worn by Clancy Brown as The Kurgan in Highlander, an original T-800 head from Terminator Salvation and a space slug tooth gifted to Academy Award winning special effects artist Brian Johnson during the production of Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back.
Original special effects Kryten head from the BBC science fiction comedy series Red Dwarf and an original moon buggy filming miniature from the 1987 BBC science fiction series Star Cops.
Original Sally puppet head from The Nightmare Before Christmas and an original Pippin Fort soldier stop motion puppet from Camberwick Green.
To the rear of the cabinet is an original special effects breathing Tribble from Star Trek: The Original Series, Weevil mask from the BBC spin off series Torchwood and and original licence plate from Ridley Scott's 1981 science fiction classic Blade Runner. To the right is an incredibly rare example of an original Cyberman gun from Doctor Who built for the 1982 serial Earthshock and reused in The Five Doctors and Attack of the Cybermen.
One of the biggest hits proved to be this original door knocker from Jim Henson's 1986 fantasy classic Labyrinth, accompanied by a rare example of a metal Thuggee machete from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
An original Weevil mask from Torchwood and a special effects bullet hit bust of President Eisenhower used in the White House sequence in Superman II.
Other show favourites were the original large scale Sky One filming miniature from Gerry Anderson's UFO which represents the only example known to exist and the original Sontaran head worn by Clinton Greyn in the 1985 Doctor Who serial The Two Doctors.
An original clapperboard used in the production of Lethal Weapon 3 and an original jack-in-the-box and Chucky shoe from Child's Play 2.
An original Oh LaLa magazine from Back to the Future Part II and an original Ming guard face plate from the 1980 cult classic Flash Gordon.
An original hover van filming miniature used in several episodes of Gerry Anderson's Joe 90 and the original 007 licence plate used on the Lotus during the promotion of the 1981 James Bond picture For Your Eyes Only.
