Coming to America

An original costume used in the production of the 1988 comedy Coming to America starring Eddie Murphy under the direction of John Landis.

A partial costume from the McDowell's fast food restaurant owned by Cleo McDowell (John Amos) in the movie and inspired by McDonald's. The costume consists of a bright red plaid patterned waistcoat which features the McDowell's Golden Arcs logo to the chest, a clip on bow tie an adjustable bobble cap of similar construction. The waistcoat is inscribed to the interior collar area 'EC24' and similarly the hat with 'EC20'.

The costume is size large and remains in excellent production used condition throughout, very fine.

A fun costume from this box office success which was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design.
