Production used clapperboard
An original clapperboard used in the production of The Mark of Zorro, the 1974 swashbuckling television film starring Frank Langella.
This production used clapperboard is custom made in wood with an affixed wooden clap stick and features various strips of tape hand inscribed with the name of the production 'ZORRO C-901', director and camera. The latter areas of the board feature various layers of tape with the director credit 'BOB THOMPSON' now visible on the board referring to producer Robert C. Thompson and the camera Alfred Taylor who is credited to the music department, underneath the camera tape the name 'JACK WOOLF' is also visible, the principal director of photography on the picture. These current markings would lead one to believe the board was last used for a shoot that was likely unplanned, possibly in post production.
The clapperboard measures approximately 12" x 9" and remains in good vintage condition with significant wear consistent with heavy production use, loosening to the clap stick stick hinge and some tape peeling.
An unusual and displayable example of the iconic clapperboard.
