Man Who Cried (The)

An original tunic used in the production of The Man Who Cried directed by Sally Potter.

Tunics such as this can be seen worn by guards during the opera scenes, constructed from heavyweight lightly patterned material, lined to the interior, this well made costume features lace up leather detailing to the rear and arms with braid detailing and affixed brass studs which push through to the rear of the costume with a split pin fastening. The tunic is labeled to the interior with a Academy Costumes of London makers tag and further costume tag which is hand inscribed with the name Krougly Nikita.

The costume remains in excellent production used condition with all the studs present and correct, it does however lack the leather lace from one side of the costume.

A displayable and affordable wardrobe artefact from this well received picture.
