Cigarette box
An original prop used in the production of Man of the Moment, the 1955 comedy picture starring Norman Wisdom.
This cigarette box can be seen in the movie as Norman (Norman Wisdom) brings it from Sonia's (Belinda Lee) bedroom and is offered a cigarette by her before an attempt is made on his life. The vintage box is constructed from marble and features a hinged lid with ebony and metal sides. The base of the prop is inscribed 'BD7513' which is an inventory number from British and Dominions Imperial Studios who owned the box before the studio was destroyed in 1936 and the piece was acquired by Pinewood Studios where Man of the Moment was filmed, it was almost certainly used in productions both before and after this.
The cigarette box measures approximately 6.5" x 4" and remains in good vintage production used condition with some age related wear, overall fine.
An exceptionally rare artefact from this classic Norman Wisdom picture.
