Lethal Weapon 3

An original clapperboard used in the production of the 1992 cop sequel Lethal Weapon 3 starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Rene Russo.

This production used clapperboard is constructed from semi translucent perspex with an affixed wooden clap stick and bears the movie title 'LETHAL WEAPON 3', with the '3' is distinctive blue lettering, in addition to the name of Richard Donner as director and also that of noted director of photography Jan de Bont as camera. This B camera clapperboard still bears its roll, scene and take numbers which are hand inscribed in marker and the date from its last use in applied stickers, 1/28/1992, which is consistent with the very end of shooting indicating that this board was used until the very end of principal photography, the board also features an unusual B camera sticker to the top of the clap stick.

The clapperboard measures approximately 11" x 9.5" and remains in good condition with some light surface scratching and a minor chip to the perspex and some paint loss and edge wear to the wooden clap stick which lacks one nut at the hinging point, this board displays beautifully an exhibits all the tell tale signs of a board which was heavily used throughout the production. The final image shows an identical B camera clapperboard in use behind the scenes during filming.

A very displayable artefact and an excellent example of the iconic clapperboard which clearly saw heavy use during the production of this well liked box office smash.
