Le Mans

An original pressbook from the production of Le Mans, the 1971 sports picture starring Hollywood legend Steve McQueen.

Pressbooks such as this were issued to theatres during the promotion of the movie, comprising of 18 pages it contains a wealth of information about the movie with dozens of black and white photographs bound between covers of glossy card, the front featuring the iconic image of Steve McQueen and to the verso a map of Le Mans race circuit. The pressbook is accompanied by a four sided pullout of additional ads with two information cards addressed to exhibitors and a four page newspaper titled 'LE MANS, the race and the film' which features information about the world famous 24 hour race and the movie itself.

The pressbook measures approximately 14" x 8.5" when closed and the newspaper 14" x 11", the collection remains in excellent vintage condition, very fine.

An interesting insight in to the production of this Steve McQueen classic which will forever remain a cult favourite with racing enthusiasts.
