Doctor Who/ Blake's 7

This costume was used in the production of both Doctor Who and Blake's 7.

This maroon velvet suit was originally designed by June Hudson for use in the the season 18 Doctor Who story The Leisure Hive, it is worn by the unfortunate tourist who is killed in the Tachyon Recreation Generator. As with many Doctor Who costumes it later saw use in Blake's 7 this time by William Squire as Kommissar in the series 2 episode Horizon.

Consisting of jacket and trousers the costume was bespoke made by the BBC costume department and both elements contain a label with William hand written in pen, it remains in fine screen worn condition. 

An excellent example of a principal character BBC costume.
