Scarlet Blade (The)

An original script used in the production of the 1963 Hammer Film Productions drama The Scarlet Blade starring Oliver Reed and Lionel Jeffries.

This revised screenplay consists of 106 pages bound within a front and rear cover of textured blue card with the cover type written 'THE SCARLET BLADE'. Originally dated 2nd January, 1963 this has been crossed out and the date 22nd February, 1963 hand inscribed below it in blue pen. This was the personal script of special effects artist Kit West who worked under noted effects artist Les Bowie on this picture and later went on to become well known in his own right winning an Academy Award for his contribution to Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The script remains in excellent production used condition considering its 52 year age with some minor toning and light edge wear.
