Kap'n Alphabet cereal box
An original prop used in the production of Muppets from Space, the 1999 science fiction comedy featuring characters created by Jim Henson.
This is the original Kap'n Alphabet branded cereal box seen used by Gonzo as he receives his message at breakfast. The box is custom fabricated from paper covered cardboard with the front featuring the brand logo with imagery of a Muppet style pirate eating the product with details of a free gift to the verso and nutritional information to the sides, the printed best before date reads Nov 10, 2050. To the interior the box features an angled shelf designed to aid the puppeteer when tipping the cereal in to the bowl, a 16" puppeteering rod comes from the bottom of the box used to operate it off camera.
The box measures approximately 8.5" x 6.5" x 2" and remains in very good production used condition with some corner wear to the paper covering and consistent fade.
A highly displayable artefact from this classic franchise.
