Doctor Who

An original prop used in the production of the long running BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

From the 1973 serial Carnival of Monsters starring Jon Pertwee as The Doctor this weapon can be seen used in multiple scenes by Kalik portrayed by veteran series actor Michael Wisher arguably best remembered as Davros. The prop was custom fabricated by the BBC Visual Effects Department and features a handle of black perspex with metal forks and spheres designed to transfer energy through them, this being achieved with the aid of visual effects.

The weapon measures an impressive 11" long and remains in very good screen used condition, uncleaned with some scratching and tarnishing to the metal work.

A very rare example of an original hand from from the Jon Pertwee era of this classic science fiction series.
