International Rescue badge
An original International Rescue badge used in the production of the 2004 science fiction adventure film Thunderbirds, a live action remake of the popular 1960s Gerry Anderson show of the same name.
This is one of the International Rescue badges presented by Jeff Tracy (Bill Paxton) to the children at the climax of the movie. Constructed in metal the badge is intricately detailed with raised IR lettering and wings, the wings are different colours to signify the 5 different Thunderbird craft. To the rear of the badge is a magnetic square and large safety pin making the prop wearable. The badge is accompanied by an original production bag hand inscribed 'HERO' and a further bag inscribed 'Bill Paxton lapel pin w/ square back'.
The prop badge remains in excellent condition with only very minor paint loss.
A colourful and displayable artefact from the production.
