Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) waistcoat
An original costume from the production of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the third instalment in the popular Indy franchise.
This waistcoat was created for use by Harrison Ford in his title role of Indiana Jones as he travels to Venice, Italy in search of his father Henry Jones Sr (Sean Connery). In the movie Ford does not wear a three piece suit but rather a two piece of the same material and construction as this waistcoat, for reasons unknown it was ultimately decided to just wear the two pieces of the costume. The waistcoat of light brown wool with button up front, pocket detailing and pocket watch chain hole was bespoke made for Ford by world famous industry costumiers Bermans & Nathans, later Angels the Costumiers, labeled to the interior 'HARRISON FORD, 9296, INDIANA JONES III' overwritten in pen 'over wet suit D.Hill' from use in a subsequent unknown production with overlaid self adhesive Angels and Bermans label, the interior lining also inscribed Dave Hill.
The waistcoat remains in excellent condition throughout, very fine.
A fine example of a production made principal character costume element from one of the best regarded film franchises in cinematic history.
